RE: International School of Ouagadougou — Holiday Recess Concluded. Although we rested … ISO did not!!

During the Winter Recess … several upgrades were made to further enhance our historic school facilities:

  1. 12 new PC computers installed in the Computer Lab.
  2. 29 Flags put up, representing our student population.
  3. Fresh paint applied to School Campus.
  4. Tennis Court painting and small upgrades made.

January 9, 2023!!

Great First Half of Our School Year! On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to pass along our gratitude for the continual school transformation that has been occurring here at the International School of Ouagadougou.

Over the last several years, we all took responsibility together, as a community, to build an even better International School of Ouagadougou. That work was shown both before the vacation period, as the PTA “DID IT AGAIN!” — and hosted their first Holiday Fair in three years — and during the Winter Break, as we made several improvements to the school facility and resources.

As you can see from this video, the PC computer Lab (the finest in Ouagadougou) has been enhanced and upgraded with 12 new computers.

In addition, now that the rainy season is behind us, we had the time to put up the flags of the 29 nationalities that presently attend ISO, as well as apply fresh coats of paint in areas of need. Please see the picture below.

Here at the International School of Ouagadougou, we know that meeting and exceeding international school norms is an ongoing process…and one that takes a lot of continual energy and effort. This makes the need to “rest and recover” necessary to keep moving forward.

From all of us here at ISO, Happy New Year! It was great to see your students this morning, well rested, and ready to learn tenaciously.

Have a great afternoon and welcome back.
