Dear ISO Community,
Great Start and Great Expectations! On behalf of all of us at the International School of Ouagadougou, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new, returning, and prospective ISO families. We would like to pass along our best wishes for our continued success in the transformation of ISO as we implemented the IB program, and successfully navigated the COVID pandemic. Fingers crossed that we will effectively continue our operations physically at school. Today, the new teachers will complete the orientation, and will be joined by our full staff tomorrow. Our new teachers, during the last three days, have learned the five P’s: Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance!!
The International School of Ouagadougou, over the years, has demonstrated a committed focus on our “interconnected community.” Everybody plays an important part in our educational ecosystem. The school’s faculty are known for their ability to work together in both the construction and maintenance of the ISO community. Through their interconnected efforts, we plan to have more activities and events to further support our community here at the International School of Ouagadougou.
We are expecting around 40 “new” students to join our “hive” next Thursday, August 18th.
As we start this year, with our new upgrades to our security system, and six new and many returning (and seasoned) ISO staff members, the goal for this year will remain simple: “excellence to the highest degree.” To that end, all of us here at the International School of Ouagadougou look forward to working with you – in the colony of the ISO family – and continuing our ongoing school improvement.
Two final notes to pass along to ensure quality communication in our educational ecosystem:
A. We will be testing our SMS system over the next 48 hours. If you did not get a text message by Friday, please email cro@iso.bf
B. If you are not already a part of the ISO WhatsApp SMS backup, please be sure to follow the directions below at the bottom of this email.
C. The business office is open and parents who have not paid, either for the full school year, or the first quarter, in advance, must do so before the start of the School Year.
D. We will have a full school dismissal at 3:15, until our After School Activities begin in September
We look forward to seeing our new parents on Thursday afternoon, and our entire interconnected community next Thursday.
Have a great afternoon.
Jeff
