RE: Monthly Director Virtual Meeting via Zoom – Thursday: 16:00

ISO Parents,

What a great time for a four-day weekend! As most of you know, last week, we had multiple siblings in one family, and another student test positive for COVID-19.

As stated in the ISO COVID-19 policy: “Positive Cases of COVID-19 must self-isolate at home for at least 10 days, and cannot return to school without a medical clearance (or negative PCR test).”

We are in touch with the families, and know that they are making good progress. We clearly understand the anxiety that the global pandemic is creating for our school community. Although there were confirmed cases during the winter break, and during school in January, last week was the first time our community had multiple cases of COVID-19 among our student population.

Once again, as the pandemic evolves, we realize that, as an International Organization, we need to be extra prudent – Right Now — rather than risk all the work that has already been done to prevent any transmission of the virus here on our ISO campus.
To that end, I would like to invite you to our Monthly Director Meeting, which will be held by Zoom, on Thursday, February 25th, at the link sent.

This month, I will be joined by Dr. Jared Harris. Dr. Harris is the Director of the Cairo American College, known as one of the finest International Schools in the world. As they celebrate their 75th Anniversary this year, they are showing both their strength and solidarity in their carefully planned and executed reopening during the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic.

We look forward to seeing you at this town hall in how to effectively have teaching and learning in the safest and most appropriate way during this global Health Pandemic.
Please note that this session will be held in English, however, it will be recorded with French Subtitles, and a French summary will also be sent out.

I want to thank everyone for their patience, cooperation, and understanding during this tough period. Our overall goal remains to keep your students safe and the school open, providing uninterrupted educational services during the COVID-19 pandemic, whether they are in-person or temporarily online.

Have a good afternoon, and see you on Thursday at 16:00.

Jeff
