Great Start and Great Expectations! Return to ISO Campus
ISO Community,
Great Start and Great Expectations! On behalf of the International School of Ouagadougou staff, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new, returning, and prospective ISO families. We would like to pass along our best wishes for your unwavering support of our school over its first full week of daily operations.
As we conclude our first week of school, it is clear to everybody that with your support, our students have adapted to our advanced hygiene protocols, which have made our students’ physical return to our historic campus possible.
To that end, every two weeks, we will be evaluating our present protocol to assure that they continue to evolve based on science and our understanding of the COVID-19 Health Pandemic. Our Faculty and staff know that our students’ safety procedures must evolve as the health situation warrants.
Our two-week time evaluation will take place on Wednesday, September 2nd. In addition to evaluating the overall health situation, we will also look at the following specific items relevant to ISO:
- Further partnering with our community to enhance our dismissal protocol for a safe and timely dismissal of your students at the end of the school day.
- How best to support families, in a safe and appropriate way, who wish to drop off their students’ lunch directly at the school
- Determining when our After School Activities (ASA’s) may potentially commence.
These are questions we will evaluate in regards to our ISO reopening plan, which is attached for quick reference.
For questions related to your students’ academic program, please join us on Tuesday, September 1st, for our Open House. Note that for the parents who will not be able to join us, we will send the same information that is presented the following day. This will help us ensure that we are all working together to support our students’ learning.

Have a great afternoon.
