Dear ISO Community,

On Monday we will have our first day for the 2023 – 2024 School Year. I would like to thank both our new and returning parents for their symbiotic support of our educational ecosystem.

As Director, I am pleased to announce that this year we plan to welcome 25+ “new” students to our hive of learners. As we start the school year, we plan to have students from 16 nationalities, allowing us to continue to welcome a diverse community and a unique culture here at the International School of Ouagadougou.

This day marked another teacher workday, and as you can see from the pictures below, we are busy making sure that the 5 P’s are in order: “Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.”

As a final note in an effort to ensure timely and effective communication during these exceptional times in our region, we request for planning purposes, that all our parents and teachers join our WhatsApp group. The Q.R. Code is below; simply use your camera to scan the Q.R. Code sent by email and you will be added to our school group.

WhatsApp is used for general communication and also provides us with a means to quickly contact our community as part of our security protocols.

Tomorrow we will have our “new” student orientation. We look forward to welcoming our students and parents who will be joining the International School of Ouagadougou on Monday as we begin our 48th year of offering International Education here in Burkina Faso.
