Pre-K Teaching Assistant

Job description: Pre-K Teaching Assistant

The role of the Pre-K Teaching assistant is to supplement and extend the instruction of the traditional pre-K program.

Essential tasks

  1. Facilitate the arrival and dismissal of students
    1. Welcome students to campus (7:45am-8:00am)
    2. Aid with the dismissal of students (3:15pm-3:30pm)
  2. Consult with the Pre-K teacher regularly and prepare activities that extend instruction.
    1. Activities include but are not limited to: art and crafts, music and movement, story time, gross motor and fine motor activities, literacy and numeracy activities.
  3. Store, organize, and disinfect student supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

  1. Candidate must have an intermediate fluency level in English.
  2. Candidate must possess a high school diploma.
  3. Candidate must have experience in working in early childhood education.
  4. Candidate must commit to being on campus Monday through Friday from 7:45am- 9:30am and 1:30pm-3:30pm on all school days (additional time may be required for planning activities and organizing materials).
